TECHNOLOGIST

DATA C0RE is a digital artist and creative technologist working with real-time audiovisual systems. The practice connects code, sound, data, image and light to create behaviours that can exist on screen, on stage or within physical space.

Systems
rather than
fixed images.

The work begins with behaviours, relationships and control structures rather than a predetermined image. Systems can react to sound, data, performers, spatial constraints or their own internal logic.

TouchDesigner is a central environment in this practice, alongside realtime graphics, GLSL, Python and networked control. Depending on the project, the same logic can remain entirely inside a computer or extend into projection, LED, lighting and architecture.

Adapt.

Years of work across live performance, touring, fabrication and media systems shaped a practice in which experimentation and reliability are not opposites. The same project can move from a software prototype to a public installation or stage environment without treating artistic logic and technical implementation as separate disciplines.

Build

Develop systems from their underlying logic upward: software, interfaces, behaviours and control structures.

Test

Prototype directly, expose failure modes and refine the system through use rather than presentation alone.

Connect

Link software to sound, networks, cameras, projection, LEDs, lighting and physical space.

Adapt

Design for changing technical conditions, from laptop-scale studies to installations and touring environments.

The current direction focuses on self-contained audiovisual works with a lightweight touring footprint: software-first systems that remain compact in transport while being able to expand through sound, projection and spatial infrastructure available on site.
